Overview and Responsibilities

Overview:

The MTV/VH1/CMT Consumer Marketing team works to develop engaging and groundbreaking ideas that build awareness, increase brand perception, and promote tune-in

The Sr. Manager, Consumer Marketing, will support the development and execution of 360- degree paid consumer marketing campaigns for series, specials and tentpole events. This role will lead entire media campaigns from beginning to end and is responsible for the development and campaign execution across all media channels including TV, Digital, OOH, Radio and Audio.

Responsibilities:

Marketing & Media Planning

  • Supports the development of paid media campaigns for the Music & Entertainment Group (MTV/VH1/CMT) initiatives
  • Leads and executes advertising plans across all media channels: TV, digital, OOH, radio, print, and paid social
  • Work closely with media agency on all day to day communication with the marketing department
  • Liaison and collaborate with internal departments including Brand Creative, Paid Social, Organic Social, Programming, Research, and Communications for all marketing initiatives
  • Participate in all media briefings and weekly status meetings
  • Manage on-the-ground & non-traditional marketing efforts in local markets to promote channel initiatives
  • Support the team with handling external partnerships/agencies in developing and executing all activations
  • Build one-sheets and presentations to articulate marketing plans and ideas with broader teams
  • Run show budgets and manage invoices while tracking spending for all campaigns and ensure efforts stay within budget and vendors are paid on time

Marketing & Media Planning

  • Translate key research reports and consumer insights into strategic recommendations
  • Review and analyze ratings performance to determine efficiency of marketing plans, and recommend ideas
  • Monitor live campaigns and make real-time adjustments to optimize toward campaign objectives
  • Work closely with research and media agency to develop post-campaign reporting and analysis

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (in Marketing or Business focus preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience executing paid media campaigns preferably for an entertainment brand across all media channels
  • Extensive experience planning and executing cross-channel TV buys across National, Local and Satellite providers
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel Skills
  • 1+years of management and mentorship experience, preferred
  • Previous experience within B2C marketing across various media channels, entertainment industry preferred
  • Has worked with large scale budgets for multiple marketing campaigns at the same time
  • Tune in experience
