Overview and Responsibilities

As part of ViacomCBS’s Advanced Advertising team, the Director of Data Product Management is responsible for defining, directing, and supporting innovative proprietary data products that improve our ad sales business intelligence and draw insights to advance media measurement and effectiveness. The Director will help drive innovation in the advanced advertising business by building leading-edge data products that cast ViacomCBS as the premier partner for advanced solutions across all ViacomCBS properties and platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of cross-platform data products and solutions that drive the advanced advertising business forward
  • Proactively find opportunities for data and process automation & efficiencies
  • Own, define, and manage data product roadmaps
  • Manage relationships with internal development teams and external software developers across the development cycle
  • Partner with data engineers and data scientists to ensure data integrity in the creation of products and solutions
  • Establish and manage working relationships with senior-level partners
  • Develop business intelligence efficiencies through product designs that service the efficiency needs of Ad Sales, Marketing, Research, and Advanced Marketing Solutions (AMS)
  • Advance measurement solutions across digital and social platforms including developing benchmarks and predictions

Basic Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of linear, digital, social, and campaign measurement and capabilities preferred
  • Interpersonal skills to build relationships with key technical and non-technical partners and support senior executives

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to distill complicated technical processes to partners
  • Understanding of business and/or sales operations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines and achievements
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep knowledge of relational & non-relational databases and SQL
  • Ability to mentor and direct a small team
