The role is responsible for determining how to best invest and allocate BET’s media budget to build best in class multi-platform plans across paid, owned & operated, and earned media. They will do this by understanding and interpreting BET’s programming strategy, consumer and cultural insights, data analytics, and industry marketplace knowledge.
This person is able to link marketing strategy to the creative strategy and translate into a fully integrated Media plan, while deriving the greatest and most optimal impact from our media spend. The candidate will oversee and direct the Agency in negotiations of all paid media investments against national and/or local media (Broadcast, Print, Online, Radio, OOH, etc.). The role will collaborate across various functions including: Brand Marketing, Brand Creative, Programming, Scripted, Social Insights and Communications, Consumer Insights, Digital, Ad Sales Research, Ad Sales….etc.
